REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPY -
Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) is a regulated health profession that involves the assessment, treatment, and prevention of physical dysfunction and pain in the body through the use of various manual techniques. Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are trained healthcare professionals who work with clients of all ages to improve their physical well-being.
The primary job of an RMT is to assess and treat musculoskeletal conditions, which may include muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons, and fascia. RMTs use their hands and fingers to apply pressure, manipulate, and stretch these tissues to relieve pain, reduce tension, and improve circulation. They also utilize techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and joint mobilizations to address specific conditions and promote healing.
In addition to hands-on techniques, RMTs also provide education and self-care recommendations to their clients. This may include advice on posture, ergonomics, exercise, and relaxation techniques to help manage pain, prevent further injury, and promote overall health and well-being.
Registered Massage Therapy - NO DIRECT BILLING SERVICES
*** Only for 60-minute appointments booked here, the rate is $5 less compared to the other RMT categories.
*** Please note that the available bookings within this category DO NOT include direct billing services. Patients will pay the full treatment fee and be emailed an RMT receipt. Patients will submit the receipt to their insurance provider for reimbursement. Reimbursement usually takes 1-2 days. We apologize if this may be an inconvenience and appreciate your understanding!
